2020 —
CHOOSE ONE
WORD

Because new year’s resolutions are so last decade.

Well, it’s that time of year again. When intentions are set and we clamber out from under the previous year to purge the indulgences of the holiday season. Gyms are joined, diets are started, lists are made and new years resolutions declared.

These are attacked with great vigor for most of January.

Over the past few years there’s been an increasing buzz around a different approach — the notion of choosing a word for the year. It’s a refreshing antidote to the ineffective methods of yesteryear. And naturally, every pundit on LinkedIn has jumped on board. Sage advice abounds, like, ‘What’s your word for the year? Mine is self-improvement, which is all about improving myself as a person’.

And ahh look, that’s nice, but there’s a little† more to it than that.

For those committed to real growth in 2020, no-one does one word better than the person who set the ball rolling nearly a decade ago, Dr Jason Fox. He recently launched a comprehensive Choose One Word online program, and it’s really very good.
