It’s great to be on the road again.

This week the EM team dusted off the travel bags with excitement and jumped on a flight to Melbourne to rock (launch) Everyday Safety at the Employee Experience Summit 2021, chaired by our CEO, Jen Jackson.

The event opened with well-deserved kudos for the work done by our ‘HR Heros’ in helping their people, teams and organisations navigate the impact of the pandemic. Many chats throughout the day began with ‘did this past year really just happen?...’. However, there’s a strong sense of possibility and optimism for the work ahead.

Topics covered over the course of the day included defining and supporting culture, assessing effective collaboration strategies, measuring employee wellness remotely, utilising employee feedback to drive outcomes and leveraging digital for seamless EX.

These topics carried into conversations with EM’s Head of Strategy, Tim Evans, and Head of Operations, De Prosser, about how we can help chief people and culture managers, employee wellness experts and employee experience specialists across the areas of safety and wellness, people and culture, and learning and development.

The Everyday Safety banners flew with pride and packs flew off the table as we connected with familiar faces, met new people, shared case studies of work with our collaborators, and discussed the role Everyday Safety plays in improving safety and wellbeing — a fundamental part of people’s day, week, year and career, and crucial to the overall employee experience.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees leaving the summit with renewed focus and energy for the crucial year ahead.

A day very well spent in Melbourne.
