A MASSIVE
WELCOME
— MARGOT

Proficient in both business and bovines.

It feels like every second week sees a new face, and this fortnight is no exception. Our latest addition to the Everyday Massive team is Margot, who joins us as Head of Growth.

Margot thrills to the pace of start-ups and the challenges of helping them scale. Her career has spanned energy, digital services and law, with experience encompassing marketing, business development, operations management, delivering strategic plans, leading initiatives and paralegal work.

Yet Margot is a creature of fascinating contradictions. Completely at odds with the pace of scaling a business is a penchant for farming.

Yes, Margot spends her leisure time reading farming manuals and bull sale catalogues. Indeed, she’s becoming quite proficient at weather chat. So deep is her commitment to the country, she almost became a bull photographer, which I did not realise was an actual profession, but apparently is. Bovine portraiture — it truly boggles the mind.

A classic overthinker (I very much relate), this again contrasts my experience of country folk, whose approach to most problems (including fencing, machinery and animals) involves belting them with a hammer until they fix themselves. Indeed, the only exception to the overthinking rule is gate fastenings, of which no two are the same, and either the rural equivalent of a brain teaser or a cruel joke at the expense of city folk.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Margot can do with both brain and a hammer.
