03 / Learning experiences —
Bringing the adult learning experience to life

Part three of our Safety Talk series was all about learning experiences. We looked at ways to lift the safety training experience — and the adult learning techniques we need to apply to truly create an organisational impact.
From policies and procedures, to processes or understanding risk — there are many components of safety training that require behavioural change from the learning experience. In this talk, Jen shares how to tap into peoples’ intrinsic motivation through adult learning techniques like curiosity, active learning and experiential learning. And walks through three case studies for facilitated learning, facilitated classroom learning, on the job and micro-learning for mobile.

02 / Communication —
How to use human-centred design to connect

The second in our Safety Talks series saw us joined by a great (and growing) bunch of savvy safety professionals for an enthusiastic bound through the topic of human-centred communication.

We explored the importance of communication for improving engagement. We looked at how determining the purpose of communication helps determine our approach and increases effectiveness. We outlined the human-centred design approach we use here at Everyday Massive. And finally, we dove into a couple of case studies, including visualising key safety metrics with PepsiCo and Building Safety Greatness with Probuild. <Takes deep breath>

01 / Strategy —
How to develop and execute strategy to drive safety performance

The well-worn adage ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’ suggests that regardless of how great your organisation’s strategy is, your culture — what people think and believe, and how they behave at work — will ultimately deliver the results you want.

But what if you could develop a strategy that connected with your people, engaged them, and helped shape their attitudes, beliefs and behaviours, to deliver the safety performance you wanted to achieve for your workplace?
