Championing the iconic typographic landmarks of our city.

In 2014, our Head of Brand, Andrew Suggit, launched The Golden Sans Project — a documentation of the Gold Coast’s residential and urban signage. The project celebrates the region's place-making through a photographic exploration of typography, paying homage to the heritage of our city.

Type which has stood the test of time, type which has forged the identity of the Gold Coast, and type which is eternally etched into the memories of anyone who has spent time here. Environmental elements, such as hotel, motel and residential signage, have helped shape the image of the Gold Coast in the minds of residents and visitors alike.

The project culminated in a show at the former St Thomas Studio, works being purchased by the City of Gold Coast Gallery, and the full collection being made available online at — www.goldensans.com.au

Now, in 2020, Andrew is re-launching and re-imagining the project to reflect the numerous developments taking place on the Gold Coast. Many of the iconic typographic landmarks have been lost, making it more important than ever to preserve a part of our city’s past.

This is especially relevant to Palm Beach, a vibrant seaside suburb and home to Everyday Massive. With an incredible amount of change over the past year, we’re delighted to champion the rich history of the place we love to live and work.
